FAU Earns Impressive TAAC Victory

Florida Atlantic University recorded its fourth shutout of the season Friday in defeating host Troy State University, 2-0, in Troy, AL. FAU scored its goals in a five minute span midway through the first half as they improved to 6-3-0 on the season and 1-1-0 in Trans America Athletic Conference play.
FAU's Jessica Kmiotek opened the scoring with a goal off of a corner kick at 26:30. It was her second goal of the season.
Melissa Bobby increased the FAU lead to 2-0 at 31:40 when she scored on an assist from Lauren Manfrass. It was Bobby's sixth goal of the season.
Meanwhile, Molly Keating got the shutout in goal for FAU. She now leads the TAAC with four shutouts. She saved four of just seven shots fired by TSU as FAU outshot the Trojans 19-7.
