The Lady Owls fell to host Oral Roberts 81-63, in the Fun in the Sun Classic, late Sunday night. Ruta Griniute led the team with 16, Tamala Vaughn added 14 and freshman DeeAnna Hanscom scored a career high 13.

FAU played a pretty even match-up against OU. The Lady Owls have struggled in recent weeks ith turnovers. The team controled the ball better committing just 18 turnovers, which was matched by OU. Both rebounding and field goals were similiar, however, the scoring difference came from behind the arch. The Lady Owls, normally a strong three-point shooting team shot .14 % from long range while OU was 4-10 for a .538 three-point percentage.

The Lady Owls were led by Ruta Griniute, who is listed nationally for blocked shots. Griniute scored 16 points and grabbed four rebounds. Tamala Vaughn, who is recovering from strep throat, added 14 points and a team high five rebounds, while freshman DeeAnna Hanscom scored a career high 13.

Oral Roberts was led by Krista Ragan's 26 point effort. 10 came from the free-throw line. Defensively Jennette bolovinos had seven rebounds.

FAU will next play Arkansas State 9 pm, Tuesday in the Consolation game, before breaking for the Holidays.
