Derek Hutton Signs NLI with FAU Baseball

Derek Hutton has signed a NCAA National Letter of Intent with Florida Atlantic University baseball, announced John McCormack, FAU's Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator.
Hutton hit .390 as a junior lead-off hitter for Palm Beach Gardens High School. He added six homers. Last summer he worked on his baseball skills playing for the East Cobb summer league where he hit .360, led the team in hits and batted fourth in the line-up.
The first team all area member holds above a 3.2 grade point average and foresees majoring in Business after being a member of his high school FBLA, Future Business Leaders of America.
"I chose FAU for several reasons," said Hutton. "It is close to home, the coaches were persistently consistent that they wanted me to play at FAU. I liked the coaches and feel good about my decision."
