John Killalea Signs National Letter of Intent

John Killalea, a senior from Seminole High School, has signed a NCAA National Letter of Intent with Florida Atlantic University's baseball program, announced John McCormack, FAU's Associate Head Baseball Coach and Recruiting Coordinator.
"John is one of the best left handed pitchers in the south," said McCormack. "He will make an immediate impact."
Killalea, a left-handed pitcher, helped guide Seminole to a 25-4 record, in 2000, with an 8- 3 record and a 2.07 ERA. He was named second team all-county and to the honorable mention all-state team, as a junior, by the St. Petersburg Times. Offensively, he hit .349 with one homer and 31 RBIs.
Following his senior prep campaign, the 6-1, 200 pounder will join a program that has posted a 98-27 record over the last two season, been to the last two NCAA Tournaments, and has held a top-25 national ranking.
"I like the size of the school, the coaching staff , the players and I have the opportunity to hit," said Killalea following his decision.
