BUIES CREEK, NC -

Florida Atlantic University won its third straight match Thursday night in a 3-1 victory over Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC. The victory improves FAU to 11-4-0 overall and 6-2-0 in Trans America Athletic Conference play. The win also kept FAU in sole possession of second place in the TAAC with one conference match remaining. Lisanne Peart connected with her 14th goal of the season just 2:28 into the match. Lauren Manfrass and Lena Andersson each assisted on the goal.

Twelve minutes later, FAU took a 2-0 lead on a goal by Rhonda Jones with an assist by Andersson.

The match remained scoreless for over 70 minutes before Manfrass added an insurance goal with 4:12 remaining in the second half to give FAU a 3-0 lead. Melissa Bobby assisted on the score.

Molly Keating's bid for a third consecutive shutout fell short as Campbell' s Connie Ferguson scored her team's only goal with 2:16 left in the match.

Campbell outshot FAU 14-13. Keating finished with six saves.

FAU has won six of its past seven matches. It will close out its TAAC schedule Saturday with a match at Georgia State.
