Joined Florida Atlantic University’s staff in November 2019 as the Owls’ senior associate athletics director for external affairs

At Mountain West Conference
Prior to FAU, Seeley served as the associate commissioner of external communications strategy for the Mountain West Conference starting in April 2019
Seeley led all external outreach functions for the 12-school NCAA Division I conference
Was primarily responsible for overseeing all strategic communication efforts and served as the conference’s spokesperson
Led successful launch of MW's "At The Peak" branding campaign
At UCF
Before to his stint with the Mountain West Conference, Seeley served as an associate director of athletics for strategic communication at UCF for seven years
Seeley was the lead on all communications, public relations and brand management functions for all of the Knight’s 16 intercollegiate teams
Served on the senior staff and external leadership team, while managing a staff of six SIDs in the strategic communications department
Served as lead for footbal communications from 2016-2019
At Minnesota
Spent four years at the University of Minnesota as an associate director
Primarily responsible for overseeing the communications efforts for football and men’s gymnastics
At Utah
Worked for the University of Utah’s sports information office where he began as an assistant director in August 2004
After three years as an assistant director, Seeley was promoted to the associate director, a position he held until May 2008
At Northwest Missouri State
Seeley got his start in collegiate athletics at his alma matter, Northwest Missouri State, where he held the title of director of athletic communications/media relations from September 1997 to August 2004
Managed and directed all media relations efforts for the Bearcats’ 15 Division II programs
Worked with football team that won NCAA Division II National Championship in 1998 and 1999, while handling communications for men's basketball team that reached two Elite Eights in that span
Prior to College Athletics
Spent over three years as Sports Information Director for USA Roller Sports, where he led all media relations functions for the U.S. Olympic Committee-affiliated governing body
Worked as a sports editor for the Maryville Daily Forum during his undergraduate career, where he directed coverage for the regional newspaper, while covering high school and college sports
Seeley worked as part of the Salt Lake Organizing Committee where he monitored and assisted media at the Utah Olympic Oval (speedskating) during the 2002 Winter Olympics
Memberships and Associations
Seeley is a dedicated member of the College Sports Information Director of America, where he served a five-year term as an officer and voting member of the organization’s Board of Directors. He led the organization comprised of over 3,000 members as the president from June 2016-17
