Steven Emery joined Florida Atlantic University as a physical therapist in 2018 providing sports medicine rehabilitation for post-surgical and selected non-surgical FAU athletes. His focus is providing return to play assessments and progressions, while coordinating with athletic trainers and strength and conditioning coaches.
Emery graduated from Nova Southeastern University in 2008 with a B.S. in athletic training and served as the head athletic trainer at Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory from 2008-14. After he attained his clinical doctorate in physical therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2014, Emery went on to provide physical therapy and rehabilitation at UFHealth’s Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Institute in Gainesville, FL. He also assisted in providing athletic training and sports medicine physical therapy services for the high school outreach program through the University of Florida.
Emery is a Florida State Licensed APTA Board Certified Physical Therapist and NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer. He currently resides in Westlake, FL.
