Joined the Owls in January 2024 to begin working with football
At East Tennessee State
Served as an assistant athletic trainer at East Tennessee state during the fall of 2023
Held responsibilities with football, both men’s and women’s cross country and with the track and field teams
Managed the care of student athletes with more complex medical needs for example type I diabetes, sickle cell trait, hemoglobin S-Beta+Thalassemia
Provided mentorship to undergraduate students interested in the field
Worked with the speech pathology providers as it relates to concussion testing and with the athletes managing mental health referrals
Prior to her fulltime position, she served as a certified intern with the same sports from August of 2022 through her elevation in May of 2023
Kingsport Axmen – Appalachian League
Gained extra experience in the summer of 2023 (June-August) by working as the head athletic trainer for the Kingsport Axmen, a member of the collegiate wood bat league
Held the responsibilities of not only caring for the team and its needs, but also developing and implementing an emergency action plan for the Hunter Wright Stadium and adjacent facilities
USA Volleyball
Began working with Global event Medicine Athletic Training in 2021 and continues to hold a position with the company
Preform on-court acute care, and injury evaluation during various USA Volleyball tournaments
Certifications
Holds certifications with BOC, Stop the Bleed and is AED/CPR and is certified in first aid and Neuromuscular Dry Needling
Holds a license with the Tennessee Athletic Trainers and is proficient in King Devick Test administration
