Ben Paul has served as an communications assistant for FAU Athletics since September of 2021. Ben is the secondary contact for football and men's basketball as well as the primary contact for softball.
In 2025, as the primary contact for softball, the Owls earned their second straight American Athletic Conference regular season title as well as a second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Regionals. With a record of 45-12, Florida Atlantic achieved its most victories and recorded its first win in a regional game since the 2016 season while ranking as high as No. 18 in national polls. During the season, Ben Paul's responsibilities included arranging player and coaches appearances and interviews, as well as writing the teams previews and recaps while editing the team’s game notes and overseeing the team's social media pages. He also travels with the team and serves as a media liaison during road games.
During the historic 2022-23 season for men's basketball, Ben assisted the communications department by compiling game notes, writing game previews and recaps, filed photos, and contributed to the team's social media campaigns. Ben then traveled with the team during the entire NCAA tournament, assisting with media relations.
Paul, born and raised in Wellington, Florida and graduated from Florida Atlantic in the spring of 2023, magna cum laude, with a degree in multimedia journalism. In May of 2023, he was named the Most Outstanding Multimedia Journalism Student of the Year within the School of Communication and Multimedia Studies and received the J. Bruce Siff Journalism Scholarship for his high GPA. In August of 2025, he received his MBA in Florida Atlantic's renowned Sport Management program.
