Andrew Coleman joined Florida Atlantic University in July 2019 as an assistant strength and conditioning coach. He primarily works with the sports of baseball, softball, mens and women’s soccer, beach volleyball, and men's and women's tennis.
Before FAU, Coleman was a graduate assistant athletic performance coach at Gardner-Webb University. He designed and implemented training programs for women’s lacrosse, wrestling, cross country, as well as men’s and women’s golf.
Prior to his two-year stint with the Bulldogs, Coleman served as an intern football performance coach at the University of Virginia. He assisted the performance staff with NFL Combine/Pro Day prep and other offseason duties prior to the 2017 season. Previous to his time with the Cavaliers, Coleman made stops at The Citadel, Charlotte and Richmond as an intern strength and conditioning coach.
In May 2016, Coleman graduated from Averett University with a Bachelor of Science in Wellness and Sports Medicine. Coleman was also a four-year member of the football team for the Cougars where he was also a two-time USA South Academic All-Conference selection. Coleman graduated with a Master of Arts in Sport Education from Gardner-Webb in July of 2019.
Coleman is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is CPR/AED certified.
