Periman joins the Owls[apos] staff after serving as the assistant goalkeeper coach at the University of Arizona. He also spent 2010 as the Director of Goalkeeping and head goalkeeper coach for the Arizona Rush Soccer Club of the Women[apos]s Premier Soccer League. The team had an undefeated record, allowed just two goals during the season and won the Under-23 national championship.
His coaching career has also featured being the head goalkeeper coach at Menlo College (Calif.) in 2010, and head goalkeeper director and head coach for the Under-14 boys team for the Pacific Soccer Academy[apos]s Los Gatos Storm (Calif.) during the 2009 and 2010 seasons. He also was a coach for the Belmont United Soccer Club (Calif.) in 2007 and 2008.
Periman[apos]s playing career featured three seasons for Menlo College, one season as a semi-professional for the F.C. Tucson (Ariz.) team and two years with the San Jose Frogs (Calif.) in the United Soccer League[apos]s Premier Development League. He earned Player of the Week honors at Menlo College during the 2009 season, and helped F.C. Tucson play the New York Red Bulls in the Arizona Desert Cup.
Periman graduated from Menlo College in May 2010.
Besides coaching at FAU, Periman will also serve as the goalkeeping director for the nearby Team Boca girls[apos] team.
Brian holds an NSCAA National Goalkeeper Diploma, a NSCAA Regional Goalkeeper Diploma, a State Goalkeeper Diploma and a NSCAA Youth Advance National Diploma. Brian is still furthering his coaching diplomas and is getting ready to take his Advance National Goalkeeping Diploma.
