Wajih AlBaroudi joined the Florida Atlantic University communications team in October 2019 as a graduate assistant. He works as a feature writer and serves as the primary contact for beach volleyball, men’s golf and women’s golf.

Prior to his current role AlBaroudi worked as a writer for CBSSports.com and MLB.com, providing sports coverage to a national audience.

AlBaroudi attended FAU as an undergraduate, serving as the student newspaper’s sports editor from March 2018 to May 2019. During that time, he became a finalist for the Society of Professional Journalists’ Mark of Excellence sports writing award, a Palm Beach Post/James M. Cox, Jr. Foundation scholarship recipient, and a finalist for the 2019 SPJ Sunshine State Awards’ best student sports story.

AlBaroudi graduated summa cum laude from FAU’s School of Communication and Multimedia Studies in August 2019. He is currently enrolled in FAU’s MBA Sport Management program.
