At FAU
- Joined Florida Atlantic’s staff in October 2019 as the Owls’ associate director of athletics for facilities and event management
- Oversees athletic capital project planning/coordination, daily facility maintenance projects and the execution of game management responsibilities
- In addition to his role with athletic facilities and events, serves as a member of the FAU Athletics emergency management team
- In the fall of 2022, Ryder was elevated to senior associate athletic director
- Prior to FAU, Ryder served over eight years with the Duke Blue Devils
- Ryder was promoted as the director of athletic facilities, game operations and championships at Duke in July 2018, a position he held until October 2019
- In his role, he was heavily involved in the daily maintenance of all athletic facilities, as he was the lead athletic facilities liaison to Duke Facilities Management, Landscape Services, Sanitation and Recycling, as well as Environmental Services
- Prior to his promotion, Ryder served as the associate director of athletic facilities and special events from July 2015 to July 2018
- For two years prior to becoming an associate athletic director, Ryder worked as an assistant director of athletic facilities, game operations and championships
- Ryder started out as an athletic facilities and game operations assistant in July 2011, a position he held for two years
- At High Point, Ryder served as a facilities and game operations intern for all Panther programs from 2005-2009
- Held a similar role with Wake Forest Athletics, carrying out all day-to-day game management operations with specific responsibility for Olympic sports programs
- Acquired experience in game day management as an operations intern
- Member of the Collegiate Event and Facilities Management Association (CEFMA) and North American Society for Sport Management (NASSM)
- CPR and First Aid certified
- Native of Lynbrook, New York
- Received a bachelor’s degree in sport management with a minor in business administration from High Point in 2009
- Furthered his education at High Point with a master’s degree with a concentration in sport studies
- Married to the former Ashley Guerra of Long Valley, New Jersey
- Currently resides in Boca Raton, Florida with his wife and daughter, Jocelyn
