About Pierce: Begins her second and final season at FAU ... was named First-Team All-Conference as a junior after being honored as a Junior College All-American prior to joining the Lady Owls.
Junior (2001-02): Started all 31 games ... led team in scoring with 16.0 points per game while averaging 6.9 rebounds ... named First-Team All-Conference ... finished third in the ASUN in scoring and ninth in rebounding ... barely missed becoming just the eighth Lady Owl to score 500 points (497) ... scoring average was 12th best in FAU history ... went 168-219 (.767) from the line which was good for sixth in the ASUN in free throw percentage .... led A-Sun in free throws and free throws attempted ... scored in double-figures 25 times ... had 20 or more points 10 times ... had career-high 28 points January 9 against UCF ... finished season with six double doubles ... hauled in a career-high 13 rebounds January 14 against Mercer ... went through a stretch in February when she made 13 consecutive field goals ... went a perfect 10-for-10 from the line February 11 at Belmont and February 23 against Jacksonville ... missed the second half of the ASUN Tournament title game March 9 against Georgia State due to an injury.
