A-to-Z: Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena (Men's Basketball)


Whether you're planning your trip to Boca Raton, walking up to the gate or settling in to your seat, we hope you have a wonderful visit to the Home of the Owls. Use this A-to-Z guide to answer many of the questions you may have about a game day in Paradise.
ARENA LIGHTING EFFECTS
Arena lighting effects may be used on game day, including blackout, color, and pulsating effects. Guests suffering from epilepsy or other visual light stimulation effects are advised to locate the nearest gameday staff for more information
BANNERS, SIGNS & FLAGS
Approved signs are authorized inside the stadium after inspection, however, no banner, flags, signs with poles, sticks or brace will be allowed.
Pre-approved banners and locations are permissible in advance as long as the banners do not interfere with the sight of other guests. No pre-approved commercial banners will be authorized.
CAMERAS
Hand-held still cameras are permitted for personal use only. Cameras with a lens longer than five inches, video cameras, stands/tripods, and bags/cases are not permitted in Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena.
CONCESSIONS
Concessions will be available from a concessions window right inside the Arena Lobby. Additional satellite food & beverage services are offered just outside of the arena main entrance.
FAN CODE OF CONDUCT
FAU Fans are known for their passion, team support, hospitality, and sportsmanship. Our image is shaped not only by our student-athletes, coaches, students, and faculty, but by our fans as well. Our goal is to create a championship experience with integrity for our teams and fans alike, while maintaining a safe and respectful atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.
EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
In case of an emergency, the public address announcer will notify fans of developing situations including fire, power failure and game delays. These announcements are made to let fans make informed decisions concerning their well-being and provide specific instructions about what to do. If possible, familiarize yourself with the nearest exit points of the Arena. In case of an emergency, please dial 911, and contact the nearest event staff member.
GATES
- The Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena Premium and student gates will open 90 minutes prior to tipoff
- General admission will open 60 minutes prior to tipoff, unless otherwise stated on FAUSports.com
LOST AND FOUND
If any article is lost or found in the arena, please inquire about or report the item to the nearest Event Staff. Items turned in during the basketball game will be delivered to the security table located at the front entrance of the arena. All lost and found items not picked up prior to the end of the game will be turned in to FAU PD and are available for pick-up the following business day. All unclaimed items will be disposed of after 30 days. Please call 561-297-3500 to inquire about lost items.
OFF-CAMPUS TRAFFIC INFORMATION
The FL511 system is the state’s official source for traffic and travel information. The Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) Florida 511 (FL511) Advanced Traveler Information System (ATIS) provides information on congestion events, crashes, construction and maintenance activities; and travel times on all interstates and toll facilities as well as several other major Florida routes.
Before heading out, drivers should check the FL511 App (Available on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store), website, and Twitter feeds.
PARKING
- All parking lots will open 90 minutes prior to tipoff
- Fans who have purchased donor parking will park in Lot 14 (west of the arena) and are encouraged to follow directions located on the front of their permit. Use of these directions will provide the most direct access to your assigned parking space.
- Free general parking will be in Lots 10 (East of the Arena), Lot 13 (In front of the Tom Oxley Athletic Center), Lot 12 (Next to Joan Joyce Field), Lot 15 (Next to FAU Baseball Stadium) and Garage 1 (Across W University Dr.)
PROHIBITED BEHAVIOR
- Threatening or inconsiderate behavior such as profane and abusive language, use of tobacco, fighting, and drunkenness will not be tolerated and can result in ejection, and / or arrest.
- Standing on seats and throwing of any objects in the stands or onto the court, is also prohibited. Should you observe any of this disruptive behavior, please notify your nearest law enforcement officer or event staff member.
- NCAA policy prevents fans from entering the field of play unless they are properly credentialed or accompanied by an authorized staff member. Violators are subject to arrest.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
For the safety and security of our guests, a number of items are not permitted in the arena including:
• Aerosol Cans
• Alcoholic Beverages
• Confetti/Glitter
• Coolers and Drink Containers
• Fireworks/Flares
• Frisbees
• Laser Pointers
• Outside Food and Drinks (Exception Medical and Childcare Reasons)
• Professional Camera Lens over 5”
• Video Cameras
• Weapons of any kind
RED & BLUE LOUNGE
- Fans who have purchased courtside tickets will have access to the Red & Blue Lounge
- The Red & Blue Lounge will open 90 minutes prior to tipoff and will be located on the second level of Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena. Red & Blue members are encouraged to enter the west side of the stairwell to check in.
SMOKING
Florida Atlantic University is a Tobacco Free Campus, which includes the ban of electronic cigarettes. This policy is in effect at all athletic facilities, including Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena. We request and appreciate your adherence and compliance with this University policy.

STUDENT TICKET INFORMATION
- Students must claim a ticket online and wait in line at the student entrance (East side of the arena).
- A claimed ticket does NOT guarantee entry. Students will be admitted on a first-come first-service basis.
- The student entrance doors will open up 90 minutes prior to tip-off
TAILGATING
Tailgating is permitted in the parking lots. Tents, tables, tarps, and canopies ARE NOT permitted if they impede foot or vehicular traffic or if they extend into additional parking spaces.
Promotional activities involving alcohol or tobacco are not allowed on campus at any time. Know and obey regulations governing alcohol use. Drinking is illegal for anyone under the age of 21. Distribution of alcohol without a permit is illegal and leaving alcohol in plain view or unattended is consider distribution.
Don’t litter. Please be respectful of the campus and dispose of all trash in the proper waste bins.
