Time: Celebration, video tributes begin at 6 p.m. Main program with speakers takes place at 7:30 p.m. (Gates open at 6 p.m.)

Throughout the 2021 season, Florida Atlantic University athletics will honor its inaugural head football coach, the legendary Howard Schnellenberger, who passed away in March. FAU is working in conjunction with the Schnellenberger family for a Celebration of Life Event, slated for Sept. 10.

The Howard Schnellenberger Celebration of Life will feature a slate of speakers, who represent the breadth of Coach Schnellenberger’s career. The Celebration of Life will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10 inside FAU Stadium, with the program taking place on Howard Schnellenberger Field.

The event is free and open to the general public.
