Dance Experience: I danced at Boca Ballet Theatre for over 10 years where I was trained in ballet, jazz, and modern. I performed in numerous full-length ballets including Swan Lake, Giselle, Romeo and Juliet, and The Nutcracker. My main influence and instruction for hip hop and jazz came from Dan Guin, Artistic Director of Boca Ballet, and Leslie Fano, head coach for the Imperial Girls. I am now part of the Boca Ballet faculty teaching jazz/hip hop. Starting off as a novice salsa dancer at Salsa Nights, I placed third in a South Florida salsa competition held in Miami and have been asked to demonstrate and perform at schools and events. Last but not least, I will be enjoying my third season with the FAU Dance Team under the direction of our new awesome coach Dyanne Loput.
Nationality: Cuban
Favorite Types of Music: Anything that has a good beat, even country, but mostly hip-hop and R&B.
Hobbies: Being around fun, genuine, and positive people, relaxing, and dancing of course.
Biggest Pet Peeve: People who consider putting others down as cool.
People of Influence: My twin sister Andrea. She and I have very different personalities, which is great because she makes me stronger in my weaker areas and vice versa. We both have a passion for dance, so I also get a personal coach in the package. She has no fear in telling it like it is, so I hear 100% honesty, which is hard to come by in this world. Most importantly, she loves being with my goofy self. ;)
Dream Vacation: My dream vacation would definitely be Cuba. There are a lot of ugly politics I don't agree with, but it doesn't take away from the beauty of the island and the people.
Favorite Holiday: Christmas. Love the weather, love the family, love the food!
Excited About: New outfits, being with the best girls in the world, and doing what I love most!
Favorite Quote: I have too many that I live by, but my favorite has to be "Don't Play!"
