Boca Raton, FL - Sean Todd has been named Florida Atlantic University's Coordinator of Football Operations, announced Howard Schnellenberger, FAU's Director of Football Operations and Head Football Coach.
Todd is another example of Schnellenberger's attention to detail and his desire to provide the best collegiate experience possible for the student-athlete and FAU football fans. His responsibilities will begin with team travel and will continue with all aspects of the game day experience, for both players and fans. Todd is new to the collegiate level, but will draw from his experience with the Miami Dolphins, where he worked with operations, facility and helped to coordinate team travel.
"Anticipating a sellout for our inaugural game, it was important that we have somebody aboard that had experience in dealing with Pro Player at full capacity," said Schnellenberger. "Sean gives us six years of working experience, in this venue, to call upon. While this is just one of his areas of responsibility, this will be the first and most important called into play."
Todd joined FAU's staff after working for the Miami Dolphins, LTD., in various positions since 1995. He joined the Dolphins in 1995 as a Facility Operations Intern. He was named Facility Operations Assistant in March of 1996, a position he held until 1997 when he became the Operations Assistant.
Todd earned a Master of Science in Sports Administration in May of 1996 from St. Thomas University and a Bachelor of arts in Communications from Salisbury State University in December of 1993.
Along with his Miami Dolphins experience, Todd has also worked with the Florida Panthers Hockey Club, the Dolphins' Game-day Promotions Staff, the Florida Marlins Baseball Club, the Synergy Sports Promotions, Walt Disney World Co., dealing with Super Bowl XXIX, the Dan Marino Charity Softball Game, and the Lipton Tennis Championships.
