BOCA RATON - Florida Atlantic University's will host the second-annual FanFest, 9:30 am - 2 pm, Saturday, August 24, 2002.
Following up on one of the best athletic seasons in the history of FAU athletics, the Athletics Department will sponsor a morning of celebration and kick-off for the 2002-2003 seasons.
Fans and friends of the program are invited to open the morning with an 2002 football team autograph session. The head coaching staff will be present with representatives from their teams for a meet and greet session as well as time for question and answers. For the younger fans, a mini-carnival will be held along with free food and drinks.
The day's events will conclude with a noon scrimmage featuring the football team which will open their second season, just four days later, August 29 at the University of South Florida.
The FAU FanFest is a Boca Raton Festival Days event, part of a month-long, city-wide celebration, organized by the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce, is just one of many events sponsored by the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce during the month of August, and is open and free to the public.
9:30 am: Football Autograph signing and mini-carnival
10:15 am: All-sport autograph signing
11:00 am coaches question & answer session (Free Food)
noon: Football Scrimmage
