Upcoming Event: Softball versus No. 5 Charlotte on May 7, 2026 at Noon

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic University named Crystal McDougle of the track and field team and David Miranda of the baseball team as Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of May 14.
Miranda, the Conference USA Hitter of the Week, had another explosive performance this week contributing three home runs and eight RBI during the Owl's four-game stretch. On the week, he batted .333 (6-for-18), with an OBP of .400 and slugged 1.000. Five of his six hits went for extra bases, and he struck out just once while handling all 10 chances, including turning a key double play on an assist from right field.
McDougle placed third in the 100 meters hurdle event with a time of 14:15 at last Sunday's Conference USA Outdoor Championship meet. McDougle is currently the program's third all-time leader in the event after a 13:80 performance at the Miami Alumni Invitational in 2017.
The Owls have only a three-game home set left in the regular season, against WKU starting on Thursday (6:30 p.m.) and continuing into Friday (4 p.m.) and Saturday (12 p.m.) at FAU Baseball Stadium.
The track and field team will await all other results, towards earning possible qualification for the NCAA East Regional Preliminaries, to be held in Tampa, May 24-27.
