For the first time in FAU history, the women's tennis team has advanced to the title match at the Trans America Athletic Conference Championship. The team upset no. 74 and top-seeded Troy State 4-1 Saturday morning.
The victory sets up a championship match with Campbell Monday at 9:00am. The winner receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
FAU has never won the TAAC Tournament or gained a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
The Lady Owls are the four-seed while the Camels are the two-seed. FAU lost to Campbell, 5-2, on March 3 in Orlando.
