Bio
As a junior ([apos]06): Earned Sun Belt Player of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week honors...picked up the offensive award after tallying a .461 hitting percentage with 40 kills and 11 blocks in three matches...defensive recognition came after averaging 1.71 blocks per game in five matches, including 11 blocks against UALR...in conference play she finished third in the league with 1.31 blocks per game...led the team in hitting percentage and in blocks...had 13 matches with double-digit kills including 20 at Troy... committed only two errors in that match for a .514 hitting percentage...her .292 hitting percentage on the year ranks seventh in FAU history.
At the Sun Belt Tournament ([apos]06): Finished with a .412 hitting percentage with nine kills and two errors...added two block assists.
As a sophomore ([apos]05): Broke the single season block assists record and finished the season with 99 block assists...averaged 1.03 blocks per game to lead the team and was one of three players in the A-Sun to average more than one block per game...ranked fourth in the Atlantic Sun in hitting percentage at .281...had 15 matches with double-digit kills and 11 with five or more blocks...had 21 kills in matches against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and North Florida...her season-high eight blocks came in the match at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
At the A-Sun Tournament ([apos]05): Finished the tournament with 13 kills, five digs and four blocks...against Lipscomb finished second on the team with nine kills.
As a freshman ([apos]04): Attended Oregon where she appeared in 11 games.
High School: A two-time All-State recipient at Charles Dickerson High School...a member of the All-Conference team for four seasons and was named MVP her junior and senior seasons...named Charles Dickerson[apos]s Most Outstanding Athlete in 2004...three-sport athlete: volleyball, basketball and track.
Club: Played for Odyssey Volleyball and Southern-Tier Volleyball clubs.
Personal: Intercultural communication major...daughter of George Petry and Mary Jo Congdon...born May 29, 1986, in Ithaca, NY...hobbies include traveling, art, cooking, ballet and theatre...her brother, Christopher, was a decathlete at Penn State and Utah State...her great-great-grandfather is baseball hall-of-famer Mordecai 'Three Finger' Brown.
