BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic senior Alfred Mikkelsen has been named the American Conference Men's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday. This is Mikkelsen's second career American Conference weekly honor (August 25, 2025).
Mikkelsen has been nearly unbeatable through the first five matches of the season. After holding Cleveland State off the board in Saturday's 0-0 draw, the native of Denmark is now tied for the lead in Division I with four shutouts. It was also the 10th shutout of his career, moving him into a tie for third in program history.
The 19th-ranked Owls return to action on Friday, September 11, for the American Conference opener against No. 25 Charlotte. Kickoff at FAU Soccer Stadium is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
