This Week in Paradise, September 6th

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Football returns to Paradise this week to open not only the home season, but also American Conference play when Florida Atlantic plays host to the Midshipmen of Navy at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12. The game will be played on Howard Schnellenberger Field at Flagler Credit Union Stadium and will air on ESPNU.
Football is not the only team that opens conference play at home in the upcoming week. Charlotte will visit the Owls, who will open their defense of the men's soccer conference championship title on Friday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. at FAU Soccer Stadium.
Women's soccer and volleyball will continue the quest for a conference title but will first continue non-conference competition away from Boca Raton. Men's golf also opens its season on the road this week.
Behind the scenes opportunities are also available this week and every week throughout the fall with the television show Inside the Owls' Burrow and the Coaches Radio Show, both scheduled for Thursday.

Practice viewing approximately 10 a.m. Post practice will be with Defensive Coordinator Brett Dewhurst and requested players.
Thursday, Sept. 10
Inside the Owls Burrow airs on The Spot, South Florida 39 (WSFL-TV), will air the show weekly on Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. in the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale DMA with replays running to be determined. The Spot, South Florida 9 (WHDT-TV), will air the show on Thursday at 6 p.m. in the West Palm Beach-Fort Pierce DMA with replays to be determined.
Coaches Radio Show presented by Duffy's Sports Grill on St. Andrew's Boulevard in Boca Raton. Fans can join in person or listen live on FOX Sports South Florida from 6 to 7 p.m. This week's guests include Hagerty Family Head Coach Zach Kittley and Special Teams Coordinator Tyler Schovanec.
