BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic Head Men's Soccer Coach
Joey Worthen has announced a 15-game regular season schedule for the 2026 campaign. The Owls are the reigning American Conference Regular Season and Tournament Champions and are coming off the program's first-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament.
The 2026 schedule includes seven non-conference matchups, including the season-opener on August 20 in Macon, Georgia, against Mercer. The home opener, set for August 23, will be a rematch of last season's NCAA Tournament First Round. The Owls host UCF for a 6 p.m. kickoff at the FAU Soccer Stadium. Home matchups against North Florida and NC State follow, closing out August.
The Owls will play eight American Conference matches, starting with a showdown at home against Charlotte on September 11. After a two-match road swing through Memphis and Tulsa, FAU returns to Paradise on October 2 to host Temple.
Non-conference trips to Florida Gulf Coast and Stetson will have the Owls prepared for the final four-game stretch of the regular season. Home matches with Missouri State (October 18) and USF (October 28) alternate with away trips to FIU (October 23) and UAB (November 1).
The 2026 American Conference Tournament Quarterfinals begin November 6, with the Semifinals and Championship to follow on November 11 and 14.
Worthen, now entering his 10th season at the helm, led the Owls to a 12-4-2 overall record in 2025. This season's squad includes nine returners, led by senior goalkeeper
Alfred Mikkelsen and midfielder
Felipe Santos. Junior defenders
David Roberts and
Josh Ainge are also back after playing key roles in the Owls' run to the NCAA Tournament.
