This Week in Paradise – Feb. 23

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic Athletics is coming off one of the busiest weekends on record and is in the midst of celebrating the men's swimming & diving's ASUN Championship as well as the performances of Daniel Laureyssens the 2026 ASUN Male Most Outstanding Swimmer and Rocco Simonelli, who was named the ASUN Male Most Outstanding Diver.
Laureyssens set multiple program records and had two qualifying times for the NCAA National Championship. He will be the first Owl to represent FAU at the national meet since 2006. The Owl divers, including Simonelli, will compete in postseason competition at the Diving B Zone Championships in the coming weeks.
A little closer to home, women's basketball, baseball and men's basketball will host events in Paradise this week, while indoor track & field, men's golf, men's and women's tennis, softball and beach volleyball will compete on the road. Women's soccer be in action this week with a home exhibition match as well.
It is the best time to enjoy Paradise!
