Owls to Play 10 Over the Next 36 Days

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic's women's tennis team has built a 3-3 record, playing a competitive schedule to open 2026. The Owls will keep that pace playing ten matches in the next month, beginning this Friday, Feb. 20 when they travel to Orlando to face UCF at 6 p.m.
A seven-match home stint will be broken up by two matches versus American Conference teams, although they are non-conference contests, played in Tampa. The home slate includes Princeton, Yale, Boston, James Madison, East Tennessee State, Harvard and DePaul.
Doubles play has been where the Owls set the match tone. The Owls have dropped the point just once in 2026 with the duo of Lara Smejkal and Malwina Rowinska holding a 4-1 record on court #1 while Panna Bartha and Katrin Pavkova have built a 5-1 mark on court #2.
The right lineup seems to be the key the Owls have yet to unlock. Three have seen time on court #1 with the only constant being court #6 where Alexia Patru holds a 3-2 record. Both Bartha and Smejkal are 3-3 on the year while Katrin Pavkova and Rowinska are 2-2 and freshman Malia Amirgaliyveva is 2-3 with both wins being captured on court #4.
The Owls will follow up Friday's match with a Sunday home contest versus Princeton. That match can be followed via live stats HERE. The two teams met just once prior with FAU taking the match by a 4-2 score on March 18, 2018.
