BOCA RATON, Fla. – Head Coach LeAnn Freeland and the Florida Atlantic women's basketball team have announced their schedule for the upcoming 2025-26 season.
Florida Atlantic will compete in 12 non-conference contests followed by an 18-game American Conference schedule. The Owls' 2025-26 schedule features 15 home contests, including a marquee matchup against Florida, in addition to competing in a pair of tournaments, including the Owls' Thanksgiving Tournament and a Christmas tournament hosted by FIU.
All times and TV designations for conference games will be announced at a later date.
Florida Atlantic will tip off the 2025-26 season in Paradise as they host Florida Memorial on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena, marking the 22nd all-time meeting between the Owls and the Lions.
Following their season opener, the Owls will embark on a three-game road trip beginning at Kennesaw State on Friday, Nov. 7. Florida Atlantic's road opener will mark the eighth all-time meeting between FAU and KSU.
The Owls will then return to south Florida to continue their road stretch as they head to Coral Gables to take on Miami on Thursday, Nov. 13. The matchup will mark the 21st meeting between the Owls and the Canes.
FAU will close out its road-opening stretch on Thursday, Nov. 20, as the Owls face off against South Alabama in their 17th all-time meeting.
Following their trip to Alabama, the Owls will welcome Florida to Paradise on Monday, Nov. 24. The matchup marks the 10th all-time meeting between the two squads and the first time FAU has hosted the Gators since 1995.
After the Thanksgiving holiday, Florida Atlantic will host its Thanksgiving Classic on Nov. 27-29. The Owls will kick things off on Nov. 27 against Air Force, before facing off against Wright State on Nov. 28. The tournament contests will mark the first-ever meeting between FAU and Air Force and the second all-time meeting between the Owls and the Raiders.
The Owls will head back on the road to open the month of December, heading to Bowling Green, Kentucky, for a midweek matchup against Western Kentucky on Wednesday, Dec. 3. The contest marks the 29th all-time meeting between Florida Atlantic and WKU.
FAU will return to the Elly on Friday, Dec. 12, as the Owls welcome FGCU for their Education Day game and third all-time meeting.
Florida Atlantic will conclude its non-conference home slate on Monday, Dec. 15, as the Owls host rival FIU for their 57th all-time meeting.
The Owls will wrap up non-conference play in Miami, competing in FIU's Christmas Tournament. Florida Atlantic will first take on UMass on Friday, Dec. 19, before facing the Panthers in the Owls' non-conference finale on Saturday, Dec. 20. It will be Florida Atlantic's first meeting against UMass and FAU's 58th vs. FIU.
Following the Christmas break, the Owls will open American play with a two-game homestand, beginning on Tuesday, Dec. 30, against the North Texas Mean Green. FAU will welcome the new year and then host the Rice Owls on Saturday, Jan. 3.
The Owls will then head on their first conference road trip, visiting Memphis on Wednesday, Jan. 7 and UAB on Saturday, Jan. 10.
Florida Atlantic returns to Paradise for a two-game homestand, welcoming Wichita State on Tuesday, Jan. 13 and UTSA on Friday, Jan. 16.
Another road trip will take the Owls to Charlotte, N.C., for a midweek matchup on Tuesday, Jan. 20, against Charlotte.
The Owls return to Boca Raton to host South Florida on Saturday, Jan. 24, before closing out the month of January on the road, heading to Tulsa on Tuesday, Jan. 27, and North Texas on Saturday, Jan. 31.
Florida Atlantic opens the month of February at home, hosting the UAB Blazers on Saturday, Feb. 7.
The Owls travel to Wichita, Kan., for a midweek matchup against Wichita State on Tuesday, Feb. 10.
Following their trip to Kansas, FAU will return to Paradise to host Tulsa on Saturday, Feb. 14.
The Owls then return to the road to kick off another two-game road trip, heading to East Carolina on Tuesday, Feb. 17, before returning to the Sunshine State for a matchup at South Florida on Saturday, Feb. 21.
Florida Atlantic closes out its home slate with a two-game homestand, beginning with Charlotte on Tuesday, Feb. 24, before hosting Tulane on Tuesday, March 3, for senior day.
FAU will close out the regular season on the road as they head to Philadelphia, Pa., on Saturday, March 7, to take on Temple.
Note: Due to schedule and travel conflicts, the Thanksgiving Classic was moved from Nov. 28-30 to Nov. 27-29.
