ONEONTA, Ala. – A late rally by Florida Atlantic men's golf fell just short at the GMAC Invitational hosted by UAB on Tuesday afternoon. The Owls finished at +2, one shot behind North Alabama.

- The Owls started the day two shots behind Lipscomb but quickly erased the deficit with early birdies from the trio of Biagio Gagliardi, NaShawn Tyson, and Guilherme Grinberg.
- Grinberg added an eagle at the par-five eighth hole to go out in 33 (-2)
- The Brazilian bounced back from bogeys at 10, 13, and 15 with another eagle at the 16th hole.
- Gagliardi circled three birdies in a row at 11, 12, and 13.
- Ultimately, a 63 from North Alabama's Andrew Ferworn lifted the Lions to the title.
