Owls Announce Series with St. Bonaventure

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic and St. Bonaventure's men's basketball programs announced a two-game home-and-home series that will begin in Paradise for the 2025-26 season.

For the first matchup in 2025, the Owls will host the Bonnies at the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena on Sunday, Nov. 30. The return date in 2026-27 for the game in St. Bonaventure, N.Y., has not yet been determined.Â
The matchup will mark the first home game back after the Owls participate in the 2025 Sunshine Slam in Daytona Beach. Head Coach John Jakus, in his second year at the helm, will face the Bonnies for the first time in his head coaching career. His squad is coming off an 18-win season and an appearance in the NIT for the team's fourth consecutive postseason bid. Jakus led the Owls to their seventh consecutive winning season and was named a finalist for the Joe B. Hall Award.Â
FAU will host St. Bonaventure in Boca Raton for the second time in program history. The most recent matchup was on December 16, 2023, when the Owls won 64-54 in the Hall of Fame Classic in Springfield, Mass.Â
