Men's Hoops Announces Series with Boston College

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic and Boston College announced Tuesday afternoon a two-game home-and-home series in men's basketball that begins with a showdown at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena to open the 2025-26 season.

The Owls will host the visiting Eagles on Monday, November 3, which is college basketball's opening day this season. The return date in 2026-27 for the game in Chestnut Hill, Mass., has not yet been determined. Boston College represents the first ACC opponent to play at the Elly since Miami's visit in November 2021.
The 2025 matchup marks the first ACC opponent for second-year Head Coach John Jakus. His Owls are coming off an 18-win season and an appearance in the NIT – the team's fourth consecutive postseason bid. "Having a home-and-home series with Boston College is an extraordinary opportunity for our program and the University," said Jakus. "We are very excited to start off the 2025-26 campaign at home in the Elly against an ACC opponent. We believe our fans will love our new group!"
FAU and BC have met four times previously, with the most recent occurring on November 13, 2013, when the Owls fell 82-79 in Chestnut Hill.
