BOCA RATON, Fla. – After recording her first career 20-point game and helping lead the Owls to a 66-61 win against Rice,
Stefanie Ingram was recognized as an AAC Weekly Honorable Mention honoree, announced by the league office on Monday.
The award marks the Owls' eighth weekly award this season and Ingram's first career AAC honor.
Stefanie Ingram had a career week, leading the Owls on the road at Tulane and in a 66-61 win at home against the Rice Owls. She averaged an impressive 20 points per game, shooting 50 percent (16-of-32) from the field, 43 percent (6-of-14) from beyond the arc, and 100 percent (2-of-2) from the line, and added nine assists, seven rebounds, and a steal over the Owls' two contests. Ingram opened the week, tying for a game-high 15 points, shooting 47 percent (7-of-15) from the field, and adding four assists and a pair of rebounds at Tulane. She then finished the week with the best performance of her young career, scoring a career-high 25 points, shooting 53 percent (9-of-17) from the field, 63 percent (5-of-8) from 3-point range, and going a perfect 100 percent (2-of-2) from the line, while also adding a team-high five assists, five boards, and a steal in the Owls' win over Rice.
The Owls kick off another two-game road stretch on Wednesday, visiting the Wichita State Shockers. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET inside Charles Koch Arena.
