BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic men's swimming and diving team have swept the ASUN swimming & diving weekly honors with
Daniel Laureyssens being named Swimmer of the Week and
Trevor Kuhn named Diver of the Week, announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.
This marks the Owls' first weekly honors of the 2025-26 season, earning two on this week's list. Florida Atlantic has now swept the ASUN weekly honors four times since joining the conference in the fall of 2023.
In FAU's victory at the TYR Fall Classic, Laureyssens helped lead the team to victory, recording five first place finishes. The senior from Brasschaat, Belgium took home wins in the 100 free (44.40) and 200 free (1:38.52), while being a part of the winning 200 free, 400 free, and 400 medley relay teams.
On the diving board, Kuhn left the meet with a clean sweep winning both the 1mtr and 3mtr events. On the 1mtr diving, Kuhn placed first in the event posting with a total score of 282.20. He continued that success on the 3mtr earning the win after finishing with a score of 332.65.
ON DECK
FAU will have next weekend off before returning home to the FAU Aquatic Center, competing a dual meet against reigning NAIA National Champions, the Keiser Seahawks on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 10 a.m.
