GREENVILLE, N.C. – Nancy Cox circled seven birdies in a second-round 68 and is in second place after 36 holes at the ECU Pirate Collegiate Classic. Florida Atlantic women's golf is in a tie for fifth place as a team. ECU's Lisa Forss holds a six-shot lead after posting a 62 in round two that featured 10 birdies and no bogeys. The Pirates (-10) also lead the team competition by 12 shots.

- Cox's day seemed to turn for the better as she neared the end of the opening round.
- She was +3 as she came to the par-five 13th hole. After an eagle-three, she added birdies at 14 and 18 to get into red numbers for the day.
