Owls Complete Fifth Annual Paradise Madness

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic men's and women's basketball teams participated in the fifth annual Paradise Madness on Wednesday evening at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena.
Fans got their first look at the Owls' squads in preparation for the upcoming 2025-26 campaigns, with several events for both teams. The night culminated in a men's basketball scrimmage.
THE EVENTS
The women's team opened the evening with a skills challenge, with Inievi Plata defeating Destyne Jackson and Haley Walker winning over Erin Rodgers in the semifinals. In the final round, Walker defeated Plata 20-15.
Next up was the three-point shootout with Madi Gewirtz, Xander Pintelon, and Jackson representing Team Sunset, while Rodgers, Kanaan Carlyle, and Zahira Arizmendi on Team Wavy. Team Sunset took the 31-26 victory.
In the dunk contest, Max Langenfeld, Zion Sampaio, and Josiah Parker competed, with Langenfeld defeating Parker in the final.
The closing men's basketball scrimmage saw Team White defeating Team Black.
