BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic men's and women's swimming and diving teams are back in action for the 2024-25 season.
For their first meet, the Owls will head to Fort Pierce to take on Indian River. FAU last traveled to face them on the road to kick off their 2022-23 campaign.
The Owls had a successful 2023-24 campaign that saw a sweep in their midseason Patriot Invitational as well as 12 school records being set over the course of the season. The conference championships resulted in the men winning seven medals and capturing third place in their first ASUN appearance while the women took fifth place with five medals, including freshman
Bry Bellile earning silver in the 200 free. The season culminated in diver
Alicia Mora concluding her collegiate career by becoming the first Owl to qualify for the NCAA Championships in consecutive years.
On the swimming front, school record holders

Bry Bellile. The latter two also earned individual medals at the 2024 AAC Championships. The men's diving team will see
Trevor Kuhn return after a strong freshman campaign that saw him earn a bronze medal in the ASUN Championships. The women divers bring back captain

Grace Powell,
Taylor Brittain, and
Riley Hersh. In total, the swimming & diving teams return 39 while welcoming 21 newcomers.
This season's team captains are

Nick Shaffer,
Logan Thornsberry,
Ocean Veldhouse, and Staudenherz. Earnshaw, Shaffer and Staudenherz retain their titles from last season.
The Owls will prepare for their yearly competition in the TYR Fall Classic, taking place from Oct. 4 – 5. Florida Atlantic's previous appearance in 2023 saw the men's team place in first and the women taking second in their respective fields.
