Alexia Patru Set to Join the Owls

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic proudly welcomes Alexia Patru, who has signed a National Letter of Intent to play women's tennis in Paradise.
Patru, a native of Romania, will join the team in the fall of 2025. She holds two national championships in mixed doubles and two ITF tournament titles. She reached the finals of the J30 doubles in Skopje, the J60 semifinals in both Belgrade and Antalya, and the quarterfinal J100 in Limassol and Trnava. Patru's best ITF rank is 596.
"Bringing Alexia onboard is a huge win for our program, and we are thrilled to support her growth both on and off the court," said Alvarez. "She is a highly focused player whose mindset perfectly aligns with the mentality and culture we continue building on this team. It will be a fun ride and we are looking forward to the journey ahead. We can't wait to see all she will accomplish as an Owl."
