Owls Fall to the Knights in First Road Matchup

ORLANDO, Fla. – Florida Atlantic's men's basketball team faced the Knights for their first road matchup of the 2024-25 season, falling 100-94.
The Owls move to 2-1 after a back-and-forth game that saw the team shoot 41% from three-point range and boasting five double digit scorers for the third game in a row.

FIRST HALF
Determined to start fast, graduate guard KyKy Tandy nailed a three-pointer on the first offensive possession. This sparked an early 10-1 lead, which grew to double digits. Florida Atlantic was active on both ends of the court, scoring 13 points off of turnovers with six steals in the opening half. Sophomore forward Kaleb Glenn led the Owls with ten points, going 4-for-6 from the line. Three different players led with three assists each. SECOND HALF
Junior guard Leland Walker's team-high 20 points all came in the second period, going 6-for-8 from the field and 4-for-5 from beyond the arc. The Owls battled back from a 12-point defecit, with junior forward Baba Miller hitting a jumper to take a 68-67 lead with just under 10 minutes to go before the Knights regained the advantage. Florida Atlantic never wavered, hitting on their last three shot attempts to bring the game within six points.PRESS CONFERENCES

- For the first time since the program's inaugural season in 1988, Florida Atlantic has scored 90+ points in each of their first three games
- Walker led the Owls with 20 points, five rebounds, and five assists
- Glenn, who registered five rebounds on the night, tied for the team's leader in boards. He finished with 17 points

- As a team, Florida Atlantic shot 45.3% from the field and 41% from downtown
