HOUSTON– The trio of student-athletes representing Florida Atlantic women's tennis in the first fall American Athletic Conference Championships got underway on Thursday in Houston on the campus of Rice University.
Victoria Gomez O'Hayon, the championship's No. 1 seed, dropped her first match after a fantastic showing at the ITA Southeast Regional. She played last Friday through Tuesday, where she advanced to the semifinal match, and traveled on Wednesday.
Newcomer
Malwina Rowinska, the third seed, fell in her opening round. She will work with
Millie-Mae Matthews on Friday morning in doubles play.
