BOCA RATON, Fla. – Three Owls are scheduled to represent the Florida Atlantic men's tennis team in the American Athletic Conference Individual Tennis Championship.
Senior
John Bernard and graduate student
Jiri Jenicek will challenge the men's bracket, while Jenicek and sophomore
Simon Myslivec will take on the doubles competition.
The American Individual Championships will be conducted for the first time in 2024 as the conference determines men's and women's champions in singles and doubles.
The singles and doubles champions will represent the American Athletic Conference at the ITA Conference Masters Championships on Nov. 7-10 in Rome, Georgia.
Two singles players and one doubles tandem from each of the AAC's 11 men's teams will compete for the individual titles.
Consolation brackets in men's and women's singles will also be played, allowing each student-athlete to play at least two matches.

While the trio is vying for a conference title, six Owls will participate in the 2024 Bedford Cup hosted by Florida this weekend. The schedule and draw have yet to be released, but FAU will potentially face players from FGCU, Florida, FSU, Miami, North Florida, South Florida, Stetson, and UCF.
