Morgan McDonald was named of the top five AAC weekly honor roll.
Smith led the Owl backline to two shutouts in victories over Temple and FIU. The Florida Atlantic defense only allowed five shots on goal over the two matches. The St. Johns, Fla. native
Morgan McDonald scored the game-winning goal in the 22nd minute of Florida Atlantic's 2-0 victory over Temple on Thursday. The Owls recorded their first AAC win in program history last week. Florida Atlantic returns home to resume conference play against UAB on Thursday, September 28.
After having a great week and being named AAC Defensive Player of the Week Smith said, "It was such an amazing week we had as a team with two shutouts and Coach Bakers 100th win. I'm so proud of the growth and effort everyone has shown and i'm excited for what's to come! We keep moving forward!". On being recognized for the weekly honor roll, McDonald said, "It's super exciting to be recognized on the AAC weekly honor roll. I am honored and really looking forward to this new conference with our group. More to come from all of us!".
