Sturdza’s 69 Leads Owls on Day One at Streamsong

BOWLING GREEN, Fla. – Florida Atlantic men's golf is tied for eighth after one round at the Streamsong Invitational. Round two gets underway at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

Fresh off an appearance at last week's Omega European Masters in Switzerland, Max Sturdza hit the ground running with a 68 on Monday in the first round of the fall season.
Starting on the 10th hole, Sturdza went out in two-under, 35. After a hiccup at the par-four second, the Swiss international birdied the fifth, sixth, and seventh to get to -4 for the tournament.
Sturdza is tied for seventh, three behind Kennesaw State's Shaun Cook and Lipscomb's Sam Potter.
The Owls' second-best round of the day came from freshman NaShawn Tyson with an even-par 73.
Tyson circled three birdies in his first collegiate round and is tied for 26th.
