TEXARKANA, Ark. – Florida Atlantic men's golf (+30) tied for sixth place at the Conference USA Championships on Wednesday. The top four teams advanced to Thursday's match play semifinals. Senior Alex Maguire (+2) tied for fourth in the individual standings to earn a spot on the All-Conference team. Louisiana Tech's James Swash (-2) claimed individual medalist honors as the only player in the field to finish under par.

Maguire got off to bumpy start on Wednesday but settled in and birdied holes five, seven, and nine to turn in even for the day.
Maguire balanced a bogey and a birdie on the back nine to post 72 and tie for fourth – his best finish of the season.
