BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic women's golfer
Clemence Cadeac has been named to the Conference USA All-Academic First Team, the league office announced on Monday.
Â
A graduate student from Toulouse, France, Cadeac made her mark on and off the course in her first year in the states. She competed in all nine events for the Owls between the fall and spring. Cadeac finished in the Top 25 in all but one of those events. Her 73.33 scoring average ranked second on the team.
Â
Cadeac made a quick impression back in September when she nearly won her first event, eventually placing second. For her efforts, she was named Conference USA Women's Golfer of the Week.
Â
In the classroom, Cadeac maintained a 4.0 GPA while working toward a master's in business administration. She is expected to return for the 2023-24 season where the Owls will compete for the first time as part of the American Athletic Conference (AAC).
