BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. – Letizia Bagnoli (-8) finished as runner-up and Florida Atlantic women's golf (+7, 859) posted its best team finish of the season at Tuesday's Atlantic Invitational in Boynton Beach. Florida Gulf Coast (-5, 847) took the team title as well as individual medalist honors (Lousiane Gauthier, -11).
- The Owls started the day in third as a team and maintained that spot, finishing one shot ahead of Georgia State.
- Bagnoli began the day tied for the lead at -7 and paired with co-leader, FGCU's Gauthier.
- FAU's No. 1 posted a solid round of one-under, 70 but Gauthier circled five birdies in route to a 67 to win by three.
- Bagnoli has now finished first or second in five of her last six starts dating back to last season.
- Clemence Cadeac (T12, even-par) elevated herself nine spots on the leaderboard with a final round 70 to equal Bagnoli. Cadeac finished with a flurry with birdies on three of her last four holes.
The Owls will be back in action in Gainesville, Fla. on March 4-5 at the Gators Invitational.
