Alijah Martin was named Conference USA Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday. Martin takes home his second weekly honor of the season after a pair of big performances in another 2-0 week for the No. 25 Owls, who are 24-2 and 14-1 in C-USA action.

Martin averaged 21 points per game on a red-hot 68.7% (11-of-16) shooting from the field and 72.7% (8-of-11) from 3-point territory. He also added an average of 5.5 rebounds per game. Martin came up big in the Owls' 90-85 overtime win over Louisiana Tech, scoring a season-high 26 points on an efficient 7-of-10 shooting from the floor and 6-of-8 shooting from 3-point range. His six 3-pointers are the most in a single game by an Owl this season.

Martin started the week with a 16-point effort in FAU's 90-81 win over Rice. He shot 4-of-6 from the floor and 2-3 from 3-point range with seven rebounds. On the season, Martin is averaging 12.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.

Martin and the Owls will hit the road next to face Middle Tennessee on Feb. 16.
