BOCA RATON, Fla. – Rain clouds did not deter Florida Atlantic University's swimming & diving teams from success in the 2023 FAU Fun Invite.
In their final meet of 2023, Owls took first place in 13 events out of 32, the most out of four teams including Old Dominion, UIC, and Rice.
Men
- Peyton Ming, Dalton Lillibridge, Jackson Kirk, and Logan Thornsberry combined for a winning time of 41.93 in the 100 medley relay
- Ming captured the victory in the 50 back (23.64)
- Lillibridge won the 50 breast (25.67) and 100 breast (56.86)
- Jacob Rubin (21.39) and Thornsberry (21.63) placed in first and second, respectively, in the 50 free
- Rubin, Kirk, Jake Bair, and Brett Reason combined for the win in the 300 free relay (2:16.29)
- Kirk (46.13) and Timo Paisley (47.56) were the top finishers in the 100 free
Women
The Owls will host Senior Day on Saturday, Jan. 20 against St. Thomas (Swimming) and Indian River (Diving).
