IRVING, Texas – After helping lead the Owls to their best season since 2018 and head coach Fernanda Nelson's second 20-win season, Valeria Rosado was named to the American Athletic Conference All-Conference Second Team, announced by the league office Tuesday.
Valeria Rosado had a tremendous season for the Owls, both offensively and defensively. Rosado helped lead the Owls' offense to a second place AAC finish in kills per set (13.50). She ranked second on the Owls in kills with 269, averaging 2.34 kills per set. Rosado was also a major anchor for the Owls back row, registering 300 digs, averaging 2.61 per set this season. She also ranked fifth on the team with 34 blocks and added 21 assists and 16 service aces during the 2023 campaign. Rosado led the Owls with a team-best 10 double-doubles this season.
