Mora Earns AAC Honor

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Weekly honors continue to be bestowed for Florida Atlantic University's swimming & diving teams following their dominating sweep at the Patriot Invitational.

Alicia Mora of the women's diving team has been named the American Athletic Conference Diving Athlete of the Week as announced by the AAC on Tuesday.

This marks Mora's third conference award and the 11th for the Owls this season. Timo Paisley and Trevor Kuhn won the ASUN Swimmer of the Week and Diver of the Week, respectively, earlier in the day.

Mora, the graduate student from Madrid, Spain, crushed both diving events to help lead FAU to a team score of 986, placing them in first place out of eight teams.

On the 1-meter, the 2023 NCAA participant posted a score of 300.15 in the preliminaries and 265.45 in the finals. On the three, meter, she recorded a mark of 303.40 in the prelims and 294.40 in the finals. In all four, she finished in first place.

Mora will next compete on January 21 when the diving Owls take on Indian River at the FAU Aquatic Center.
