Owls Earn Multiple AAC Awards

BOCA RATON, Fla – Florida Atlantic senior Lexi Gonzalez has been named the American Athletic Conference women's soccer goalkeeper player of the week. Midfielder Molly Setsma was named one of the top five AAC weekly honor roll.

Gonzalez set a new career high of nine saves in the match against the 49ers and recorded her third shutout of the season on Thursday night. The Bradenton, Florida native scored the winning goal against Charlotte with less than 90 seconds remaining in the match. The Owls recorded their first AAC win on the road last week. Florida Atlantic returns home this week for two matches, first match of the week they will take on SMU on Thursday, October 12 at 7 p.m.
